About
Minot Young Professionals (YP) is a network of young professionals that seek to make the most of what the Magic City has to offer. YP focuses on connecting young professionals through networking, personal and professional development, and engaging with the Minot community. We hold events every month that are driven by YP members' interests and focus on connection, development, and community engagement. Minot YP is led by our amazing leadership team, who are elected by members each year. We also have several action teams that members can become involved in. Check out our Engage page for more information on how you can join an action team.

Why We Exist
We believe that the Minot community has an incredible amount to offer to young professionals. Young professionals have a lot of talent to offer and an ability to influence the Minot community as well. That being said, we know that it can be difficult (and intimidating!) to make new friends, meet new professional contacts, and engage in the community. We exist to offer a low-stress and highly rewarding way for Minot young professionals to engage with each other and the community.

What is a Young Professional?
We define young professionals by mentality, not by age. If you live in Minot and the surrounding areas and are interested in growing as a person, connecting with your community, and meeting others in Minot, then Minot YP is for you. Minot Young Professionals Ask For Your Input

The Minot Young Professionals is in transition. As many of you know, the age requirement of limiting the age from 21 – 39 was changed. Now anyone of any age is allowed to join. The mission of YPN is to create social and business networking opportunities and community enhancement projects for young professionals in the Minot area. With that being said, the committee is seeing a core group of people attend their functions, and that is creating burn-out. The Minot Area Chamber EDC wants to ensure each of our committees creates value for our member investors.
